Academy Award-winning actor Emma Thompson is due to play the ferocious Miss Agatha Trunchbull in Netflix's upcoming adaptation of the Roald Dahl book.
Thompson will follow in the footsteps of Pam Ferris who slipped into the role's giant shoes in the 90s version of the novel. Unlike its predecessor, however, the Netflix movie will be a musical akin to the Broadway project by Dennis Kelly.
The new Matilda movie is set to stream worldwide on Netflix, except in the UK where it will be screened in theaters by TriStar Pictures.
