io9 exclusively reports that Sigourney Weaver will play as an ancient vampire in Vamps, directed by Amy Heckerling of Clueless legend.

Weaver would put on fangs for the malevolent role of Cisserus, a "stem vampire." It's Heckerling-speak for a generally ravenous, bloodsucking immortal.

Release date is tentatively tacked on 2012.
